El Ulitmo Grito has been busy. Roberto Feo and Rosario Hurtado gave us a sneak preview of some pieces in collections that will be launched in Milan and Frankfurt this year for Uno, Sofactual (what a great sofa!) and Arturo Alvarez. The lighting above is for Arturo Alvarez. More designs after the jump.
This massive LED screen, dubbed the Zero Energy Media Wall by Greenpix, is supposed to be unveiled this month in Beijing. Said to be the world’s largest, the screen is also self-sustaining–it collects solar during the day, then uses the juice to fire up the LEDs at night.
Even more surprisingly, the ZEM Wall is apparently intended for digital art, and not advertising. Whether it will come off as planned remains to be seen–the demo video is disappointingly bogus, with CG overlaid on footage of a New York City expressway instead of Beijing. This we cannot understand–if the company’s in the midst of installing the thing in Beijing, can’t they send someone across the street with a camera, to record footage for an on-site demo video?
