Lynch / Eisinger / Design designed the new NIKE iD Showroom on Elizabeth Street in New York. I had to share it with you because I love the way they display the shoes like little pieces of art. Really smart.
Inspired by Swarovsky Signity watches, this timepiece by designer Ilya Yakovlev features a surface made from real crystals backlit by LEDs. You can increase the luminosity and change colors to suit your mood. Is it real? In the mind of Yakovlev yes. Is it expensive?

Lighting as art is one of my favorite mediums for decorative expression. I get suckered into every cool sconce, floor lamp, table lamp, projectors…pretty much anything that shines light in a new or interesting way. Which brings me to our latest find. This “Branch Light” by Michail Komarov. This concept allows for you to grow your own unique shape by providing a multitude of curved and straight segments in a variety of colors that easily connect via spherical plugs housing circuit closings. I could get highly experimental with this idea, having light tubes wrap around a bookshelf or tall houseplant.
