Wallcovering designer Tracy Kendall was back again this year in the Brits section with some new designs. Some of the papers we saw were; lettered & mirrored, what looked like lettered sticky notes, lettered felt and one paper that had sewn lettering. More after the jump.
Rachel O’Neill’s Looplaa lamp shades are made with simple Velcro but look like living organic things, like the tentacles of a sea creature. A wall system adds color and shape to unadorned surfaces.
New Design Canada featured five Canadians side by side. We saw Pascale Girardin’s large wall lighting installation at IDS and Geoffrey Lilge’s L40 chair earlier this year. All new, Dan Planko Design’s furniture, that’s his mirror above, and ROLLOUT custom wallpaper to the right above. After the jump, the 5th Canadian Tsunami Glassworks.
