We recently discovered Bureau by Martin Holzapfel and wanted to take a look at what other pieces of useful furniture this Berlin-based designer has to offer. Holzapfel designs “furniture for daily use,” but there is a sense of mystery in the simplicity of the designs. We were delighted to find the Elefant bar and coffee table, as well as the Sider chest of drawers. The Curve console is not yet in production, but what a shape.

Maigrau, the German design team of Alex Stamminger and Nik Back, has just launched new products at the Blickfang design fair in Stuttgart where they received a gold award. Line is a minimalist tray that functions as a shelf, singly or in multiples to create a wall installation. Split is an equally zen fruit bowl of laser cut aluminium, all angles and geometry.
