Ronn Motors‘ The Scorpion is claimed to be the “first commercial vehicle with a system built-in that produces hydrogen on demand.” During normal operation, hydrogen would be mixed with petrol for improved gas mileage.

Without the hydrogen injection system, the Scorpion reaches 27 mpg; with it, it tops out at 40 mpg. For an eco-car capable of 200 mph that goes 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, that’s not half bad.

New Xacti HD1010 Hands On!

Sanyo’s Xacti HD1010 includes full 1920 x 1080 (1080i) resolution recording, “Face Chaser” face detection technology, 300fps slow motion mode, 4.0-megapixel stills, SDHC card slot, 10x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD display. Available in July, priced at $800. Video after the break.

Nothing compared to Casio’s freakish EX-F1 but a nice novelty for shooting the kids’ sporting adventures. Sanyo also tossed in a new 7fps continuous still shot mode which snags images at the sensor’s maximum 4 megapixel resolution.

International architects Broadway Malyan, who were founded in the UK 50 years ago this April, have opened new offices in Shanghai and Singapore. The practice has also announced the move of its UAE based teams to new permanent premises in Abu Dhabi from where existing and new work in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the wider Gulf States will be spearheaded. The three new offices are part of a long-term strategic plan to offer clients international standards of design and service combined with local delivery and experience.
