Tokyo-based design studios Curiosity and Tonerico brought fantasy and technology together.
The Tokyo Wonder installation, one of the works showed at the exhibition, reflected on Tokyo with a mix of fantasy and technology.
Tokyo Wonder
A square grid was placed in a completely dark space where 50 standards were set up, spreading light and air. Above that installation, a number of foam balls floated in the air, synchronous on a programmed rhythm. During the floating, each ball got enlightened which resulted in a continuous floating of illuminated balls.
The installation itself wasn’t illuminated what lead to a magical feeling of hovering objects.
